Robotics fair in China: Humanoid robots enter the ring, dance, and compete with visitors

The robotics fair held in China is hosting scenes that demonstrate how developing robotic technologies are not limited to industry and laboratories, but also extend to entertainment, daily life, and interactive experiences.

Performances by humanoid robots are among the most popular attractions at the fair. At the event, where more than 30 shows are held on a rotating basis every day, robots box, dance to music, and perform the Lingnan-style lion dance.

The shows are drawing intense interest, especially from families visiting the fair with their children. Visitors do not just watch the performances; they can also participate in human-robot penalty kick games and experience the facial expression mimicry of bionic face robots.

One of the standout experiences at the event was the races controlled by brain waves. In this area, participants have the opportunity to interact directly with technology and see different ways of using robotics and control systems up close.

The fair also showcases the jumping and command-following skills of four-legged robotic dogs. Visitors also encounter examples of technology's use in daily service areas by trying coffee and ice cream prepared by robots.
