Smart wristband from Azerbaijani youth! Those subjected to peer bullying will be able to get instant support

Azerbaijani university students also had the chance to showcase their work at TEKNOFEST, which was held at Adana Airport from October 2-6 under the main organization of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, with Anadolu Agency as the global communication partner.

Four students studying at the Baku Higher Oil School aim to provide instant support to children subjected to peer bullying with the "wearable smart wristband" they have prepared, which is based on a mobile application and supported by artificial intelligence.

Zahid Abdullayev, one of the students working on the project, said that in the study they prepared, parents can track their child's heart rate with the smart wristband.

Stating that a notification is sent to parents first when there is any abnormality with the application, Abdullayev expressed that they use 2-factor verification because not every abnormal heart rate is due to bullying.

Stating that they understand what the issue is with the voice recorder inside the wristband, Abdullayev explained that in any case of bullying, they send a notification to the parent and inform them that the child needs support.

"WE CONTINUE TO DEVELOP OUR PROJECT"

Explaining that peer bullying is increasing and that they are developing a project on this issue, Abdullayev continued as follows:

"In the work we have done, we enable parents to provide instant support to their children. We reduce the problem to a point less than the trauma dimension. We knew there was a need for a solution to this problem. That is why we continue to develop our project. We also exhibited our project in Antalya. It was met with interest there as well, and we came in second. We can all be exposed to bullying. This work of ours allows us to receive support against bullying."

Abdullayev said they want to develop their project further.
