The geomagnetic storm is classified as a G3 category, and it is noted that this level could cause temporary issues in satellite communications, GPS systems, and power grids. A G3-level storm can make position and orientation control for satellites difficult, cause significant deviations in GPS systems, and create short circuits and voltage imbalances in power transmission lines.
Solar storms are classified from G1 to G5, and each level is defined by its impact on technological systems and the magnetic field on Earth. While G1 and G2 levels are generally considered harmless, G3 and higher levels can create more serious effects.
