Known for its luxury technology designs, Caviar has announced a new special series prepared for the iPhone 17 Pro. The model, named "Geiger," stands out not with ordinary customization, but with a functional dosimeter and watch module placed on the phone's back panel.
According to the company's statement, the device is based on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models. The most striking detail of the series is the SIG-RM1208 physical dosimeter watch unit located on the back panel. This hardware functions as a fully operational Geiger-Müller counter capable of reading ambient gamma radiation levels in real-time.
DOSIMETER AND ANALOG WATCH ON THE BACK PANEL
The module placed in the center of the phone's back features a small digital screen that displays radiation values. The system can be set to notify the user with an audible beep if the radiation level exceeds a set threshold.
Surrounding the digital screen is an analog watch dial that shows the time. This section uses a basic Swiss Ronda 763 quartz movement. Thus, the back of the device transforms into a hybrid design that carries both a measurement function and a classic watch appearance.
Caviar replaced Apple's standard glass back panel in the design with a heavy-duty titanium case. Exposed screw details, thick metal panels, a red line extending from the center, and a radiation hazard symbol near the bottom section give the model an industrial look.
The added metal layers and the watch-dosimeter module make the phone thicker and heavier compared to a standard iPhone. Caviar announced that it will produce only 7 units of this special series. The price set for the 256 GB iPhone 17 Pro-based model is 13 thousand 130 dollars; this amount corresponds to approximately 633 thousand TL.
