TEKNOFEST begins in İzmir

The aviation, space, and technology festival TEKNOFEST, organized under the leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, has opened its doors in İzmir.

The third edition of TEKNOFEST this year is being held at Çiğli Airport in İzmir.

The festival, which will continue until October 1, is being held with the participation of 121 institutions, including ministries, presidencies, public and private sector organizations, academic institutions, and media companies that play a role in Turkey's "national technology ecosystem."

Due to the festival, which opened its doors at 09:00, traffic congestion occurred in the Çiğli Airport area. It was observed that the majority of those who wanted to go to the festival area from the early morning hours used public transportation.

On the first day of the festival, where the official opening ceremony will be held today at 13:00, there will be a "Science Show," "Rafadan Tayfa Technological Crew," "Hürkuş and Gökbey Musical," "The Stage is Yours," "Flying Children Acrobatics Show," and a Burak Yeter concert.

Throughout the day, participants will be able to experience the "Vertical Wind Tunnel," "Climate Tunnel," "Solar Observation," "Planetarium," "Space-Themed Playground," "Simulation Experience Areas," "Exhibitor Stand Activities," "Land and Air Vehicle Exhibition," "Hot Air Balloon," and "Pedal Flight Activity." Competitions will be held in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship.

Throughout the festival, the Turkish Stars, Bayraktar Akıncı, Anka, Bayraktar TB2, F-16 Solotürk, Hürkuş, S-70 (Steel Wings), BEL-429 (Grape Cluster), Paramotor, Gyrocopter, T-129 Atak Helicopter, and Caravan (parachute jumps) will present exciting shows in the sky, and first-flight events with students will be carried out.

With the "The Stage is Yours" event, music lovers will have the opportunity to gain stage experience.

SOLOTÜRK AND GENDARMERIE HELICOPTERS PERFORMED FLIGHT DISPLAYS

The intensity experienced since the morning hours at TEKNOFEST, which is being held for the third time this year in İzmir and started at Çiğli Airport, is noteworthy.

Groups consisting mostly of students entering the area were greeted by the Turkish Air Force's demonstration team, SOLOTÜRK, with an exciting show performed in the skies over İzmir.

Participants, who watched the challenging acrobatic maneuvers with applause, recorded these moments with their mobile phones.

Within the scope of the flight displays, helicopters belonging to the Gendarmerie General Command also performed a zeybek dance display, and a parachute jump was made from a CN-235 CASA aircraft.
