Toilet designed in China that leaves no trace of waste

Chinese scientists have designed an extremely slippery toilet that prevents waste from sticking.

Researchers from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, Hubei province, China, have developed a new toilet prototype using 3D printing technology.

According to a report in Independent Türkçe; the model design, called the "abrasion-resistant super-slippery flush toilet" (ARSFT), is 10 times smaller than a real toilet.

In the study, scientists tested the toilet with artificial waste they produced by mixing yeast, peanut oil, water, and the Japanese food miso.

In the tests, it was observed that the artificial waste slid off the surface of the toilet without leaving any trace.

The researchers also used muddy water, milk, honey, rice porridge, and starchy gels in the experiment.

Yike Li, who led the study, also pointed out that the toilet can maintain its abrasion-resistant feature for a very long time. Li stated that even when they tried to damage it with sandpaper and a knife, the slipperiness on the surface of the toilet remained intact.

The scientist said that this durability was achieved with a mixture containing hydrophobic sand and plastic particles, which contain water-repellent molecules. These materials were processed with the help of a 3D printer to make the toilet durable. Thanks to lubricating gels, waste is also prevented from sticking to the toilet.
