In his statement, Trump argued that the term "Artificial Intelligence" should also be opened for debate. Stating that many people believe this term does not accurately reflect the nature of the technology, Trump suggested "Superior Intelligence," "Extreme Intelligence," and "Supreme Intelligence" as alternative names.

The US President also launched a poll regarding which of the concepts he proposed should be preferred. Trump's move comes at a time when the rapid spread of artificial intelligence in the US and debates regarding the risks of the technology have intensified.

Some prominent figures in the tech world are calling for a more cautious approach against the uncontrolled progress of artificial intelligence development efforts. Figures including Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk have been among those who have expressed that artificial intelligence work should be slowed down.

The Trump administration, however, is following a line that supports innovation rather than imposing new restrictions in the field of artificial intelligence. Trump had previously argued that slowing down work in this area would provide an advantage to China.
