TÜBİTAK Sky Observation Event begins at Lake Emre: Perseid Meteor Shower will also be observed

Lake Emre in Afyonkarahisarö üwill host the “From Roots to the Skies TÜBİTAK Skyö öObservation Event” between August 12-15. Ahead of the event,Ü öAfyonkarahisar Governor Dr. Naci Aktaşü ü öinspected the preparations on-site. öGovernor Aktaş received information from officials regarding the ongoingü ü üwork at the event site. He gave instructions to ensure that preparations are completed in a way that allows citizens and science enthusiasts to have a safe, comfortable, and high-quality experience.
As part of the program, astronomy ç talks and science and technology workshops will be organized. Participants will have the opportunity to observe stars, planets, constellations, and the Milky Way with telescopes.ü ç
The Perseid Meteor Shower, one of the most eye-catching natural phenomena of the sky,ö will also be observable at the event this year. The meteor shower is expected to offer participants the chance to experience astronomical observations in a unique atmosphere.ö ü ö
