Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the television and radio broadcasts on the Türksat 3A satellite, which has been in service since 2008, have been transferred to high-capacity satellites in the Türksat satellite fleet.ü üüü
Uraloğlu stated that the operation, carried out on the night between August 15 and August 16, was completed without any interruptions to the screens, adding, "Our television and radio channels will now broadcast with higher quality and higher technology using our next-generation satellites."çü
According to the information provided by Minister Uraloğlu, because the 18-year-old Türksat 3A has reached the end of its technological lifespan, the broadcasts of 573 television and 215 radio channels were moved to next-generation satellites. It was stated that hundreds of frequencies were changed simultaneously during the operation, which was carried out after approximately one month of technical preparation with the broadcasting organizations.öü öüü üüüüüüüü

Uraloğlu emphasized that the satellites to which the broadcasts were transferred are located at the same orbital position as Türksat 3A. Therefore, Uraloğlu stated that viewers will not need to change their existing dish antennas or antenna angles, and that citizens will be able to continue watching the broadcasts with better image quality.üöü ççöüüö
It was reported that channel lists are updated automatically thanks to the Türksat Channel Update System (TKGS) found in new-generation television and satellite receivers. For older model satellite receivers that do not support TKGS, it was noted that users can access the broadcasts via new frequencies by performing a "Network Scan".üüü ü
