WHAT ARE THE NEW FEATURES IN CAMERA USAGE?

Hybrid auto-exposure modes are being added to the camera app with Android 16. This feature allows users to manually set parameters such as ISO and exposure time, while other settings continue to be managed by auto-exposure algorithms. This enables photographers to take more controlled and flexible shots by reducing image noise.

There are also significant improvements in color settings. White balance controls have been expanded, allowing users to now directly adjust color temperature and tint. Previously limited to specific presets, white balance becomes more customizable with this update.

Another notable innovation is Ultra HDR support in HEIC format. The HEIC format, which offers higher image quality while using less storage space compared to JPEG, will provide enhanced color, brightness, and contrast details on HDR screens. On older devices, these files will be viewable as SDR.
