WhatsApp, one of the world's most popular messaging applications, is testing new features in the Android 2.23.25.16 beta version.

According to information from Webtekno, the standout features in this update focus on account restrictions. These features, which will be rolled out to all users in the future, will affect channel administrators and individual users alike.

NEW FEATURES

Protecting Channel Administrators: Channel administrators whose channels have been restricted will be given the opportunity to request the removal of the restriction.

Account Restrictions: The ability to restrict access to the accounts of users who abuse the platform will be introduced.

Account Restriction Criteria:

Accounts that send automated messages

Accounts that send bulk messages

HOW WILL THE RESTRICTION PROCESS WORK?

Suspicious accounts will be subject to a temporary access ban.

Automated tools will be used during the audit process.

The procedures following a restriction will be as follows:

Accounts that have been banned from access will not be able to start new chats.

They will be able to reply to existing chats or continue conversations they had previously started.

Channel owners will be able to appeal for their channels that have been subjected to access restrictions.

Following the submission of an appeal, the channel and the situation that caused the channel to be restricted will be reviewed by WhatsApp.
