WhatsApp introduces new feature to remove language barriers

WhatsApp is taking an important step to improve the user experience. The messaging app has begun testing a translation feature that allows messages to be automatically translated into different languages. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to chat without experiencing language differences.

The new translation feature will allow users to enable automatic translation in the chats of their choice. This option, which will be located in WhatsApp settings, can be controlled separately for each chat. Thus, users will be able to determine for themselves which conversations they want to be translated.

The most remarkable aspect of the feature is that the translation processes are performed entirely on the device. The necessary language packs will be downloaded to the device by the application and can be used without an internet connection. This will both enable offline access and protect user privacy.

Initially, this feature, which will offer support in Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Hindi, and Russian, will be expanded over time to cover more languages. Users will be able to have all messages translated automatically if they wish, or apply translation only to specific messages.

This innovation, which is not yet accessible to all users, will be offered to a wide audience after the testing process.
