WhatsApp, one of the world's most popular messaging applications, is working on an update that simplifies the process of sending voice messages for Android users. This innovation, which is being tested in the application's beta version 2.25.15.19, allows users to record by tapping the microphone icon just once.
Currently, there are two methods for recording voice messages on WhatsApp: holding down the microphone icon to make short recordings or sliding the icon up to activate lock mode and record long messages. The new system combines these two methods, allowing users to record with a single tap. When the microphone icon is pressed, the recording starts automatically and lock mode is activated, so users can record both short and long messages effortlessly.
With this update, there are no changes to the application's interface during recording. Users can listen to the message when the recording is complete and delete it before sending, which prevents accidentally sent messages and offers a more controlled experience.
The new feature will be available in individual and group chats as well as on WhatsApp channels. However, there has been no official announcement yet regarding when this innovation will be released to all users.
