2025-2026 EuroLeague season schedule announced

The schedule for the 2025-2026 EuroLeague season, which will be played with 20 teams this year, has been determined.

The start date and participating teams for the 2025-2026 EuroLeague season have been announced. While the number of teams in the league has increased from 18 to 20 this season, significant new additions stand out. In the new season, Spanish representative Valencia Basket, Israel's Hapoel Tel Aviv, and for the first time from outside Europe, the United Arab Emirates' Dubai Basketball team will participate in the tournament.

The new season will begin with matches played on Tuesday, September 30, and the regular season will conclude on Friday, April 17. At the end of the season, the teams that finish in the top 6 will directly qualify for the playoffs. The teams in 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th place will compete in the Play-In stage.

The Play-In matches will be played on April 21 and 24. Following that, the excitement will intensify with the playoff stage, which begins on Tuesday, April 28. The pinnacle of the season, the Final Four, will be held from May 22 to 24, 2026.

2 TEAMS FROM TURKEY WILL COMPETE

This season, Anadolu Efes and reigning champions Fenerbahçe Beko will once again appear on the EuroLeague stage from Turkey. The 20 teams that will compete in the league are as follows: Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahçe Beko, Monaco, Baskonia, Crvena Zvezda, Dubai Basketball, Olimpia Milano, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Hapoel Tel Aviv, ASVEL, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Paris Basketball, Partizan, Real Madrid, Valencia Basket, Virtus Bologna, and Zalgiris Kaunas.

In the first week, reigning champions Fenerbahçe Beko will host French representative Paris Basketball. Anadolu Efes will face Israeli representative Maccabi Tel Aviv at home. The derbies between the two Turkish representatives will be played in the 6th and 25th weeks.

Meanwhile, Turkish coach Ergin Ataman, who is at the helm of Panathinaikos, will also lead his team against German representative Bayern Munich in the first match of the season.
