MATCHES IN THE USA INCREASED BY 60 PERCENT
According to internal data, Tinder matches across the USA have risen by approximately 60 percent since the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This increase coincides with a period where the average engagement growth in the 16 host cities was 47 percent.
The data showed that the rise was seen not only in user swipes but also in overall platform engagement.
USER COUNT AND ENGAGEMENT INCREASED
Between June 11 and 16, a 15 percent increase was recorded in the total number of Tinder users in the USA. During the same period, swipe activity rose by 25 percent compared to the same period in 2025.

A 74 percent increase was recorded in Guadalajara during the South Korea–Czechia match.
A 47 percent rise was seen in Boston during the Iraq–Norway match.
It was noted that international fans heavily used the Tinder Passport feature, which offers the opportunity to match with users in different cities and countries.
Internal data revealed a remarkable increase in the use of this feature by fans from Britain, Brazil, Thailand, and Nigeria.
It was reported that most of the interest was directed toward major US cities such as New York-New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Miami.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup went down in history as the first tournament to be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
