A striking claim has emerged regarding the yellow-navy club ahead of their Europa League match against Nottingham Forest. It is alleged that UEFA officials conducted an inspection of the 5-star logos at the stadium in Kadıköy and requested the removal of the visuals in question.
CLAIMED TO HAVE EMERGED DURING INSPECTIONS
According to information provided by journalist Yakup Çınar, UEFA representatives examined the logos throughout the stadium during their pre-match checks. According to the claim, it was determined that while the official logo sent to UEFA does not contain stars, the emblems used in the stadium feature 5 stars.
Yakup Çınar made the following statements regarding the matter:
“UEFA is coming to Kadıköy for inspections ahead of the Fenerbahçe - Nottingham Forest match. They see that ‘there are no stars in the logo sent to them, but there are 5 stars in the logo they placed in the stadium,’ and then they say, ‘we want this covered up.’ Therefore, we will not see anything with fake stars in this match. When UEFA officials saw the fake stars, they requested the removal of the logos.”
According to the allegations, UEFA made this request because the 5-star logo has not been officially registered in the Turkish Football Federation records. It was stated that the visuals inside the stadium must be brought into compliance with UEFA standards before the match.
TRAINING DETAIL DREW ATTENTION
On the other hand, a difference was also observed in the club's training visuals. While it was seen that the players wore tracksuits with the 5-star logo during the training session held on Tuesday, February 17, it was noted that tracksuits with logos without stars were preferred in the subsequent training session.
