6-year prison sentence for Quincy Promes!

Dutch international footballer Quincy Promes has been sentenced to 6 years in prison by a Dutch court.

In January 2020, 1,350 kilograms of narcotics were discovered on two ships traveling from Brazil to the Antwerp port in Belgium. Quincy Promes' name was also linked to this smuggling incident.

THE COURT HAS REACHED ITS VERDICT

Following the passage of time, the court has reached its verdict. The Dutch prosecution had requested a nine-year prison sentence for the 32-year-old player. The Dutch court sentenced Quincy Promes to six years in prison.

HE HAD PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED A SENTENCE

Last year, Promes was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison for stabbing his cousin in the knee during a family gathering in 2020. The case, which was appealed, was later converted into a fine.
