64,000-capacity stadium project from Fenerbahçe

The Yellow-Navy Blues announced that the project to increase the capacity of the stadium in Kadıköy to 64,000 has been completed and that the cost is 50 million Euros.

Fenerbahçe has announced the completion of the renovation project that will increase the capacity of the Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex to 64,000. The club also shared visuals regarding the project with the public.

According to the statement from the Yellow-Navy club, the project aims to modernize the stadium with an approach of "on-site renovation that preserves urban memory." Work will begin once the necessary permit process is completed.

Fenerbahçe reported that President Aziz Yıldırım and board members met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Dolmabahçe, and that project details regarding stadium modernization and capacity increase were shared during this meeting.

WHAT IS IN THE PROJECT?

According to the planning, foundation construction work will begin in the first phase. Following the order of steel fabrications, reinforced concrete production will be completed and steel supports will be installed. One of the critical stages of the project will be raising the existing roof by approximately 6 meters using special jacks.

Following the roof work, it is planned to build new stands behind the goals and add 52 luxury boxes to these areas. The capacity increase will be completed with additions to the Maraton and Fenerium stands.

The club announced that the project will be implemented at a cost of approximately 50 million Euros. After the capacity increases to 64,000, an annual increase of approximately 25 million Euros is expected in addition to Fenerbahçe's current revenues.

Fenerbahçe Board Member Nihat Özbağı stated that matches can largely be played in Kadıköy during the work. Özbağı expressed that a few matches might be played at another stadium while the roof is being raised, and that the construction period is planned as 12 months according to the work schedule.

The approximate cost of the construction is 50 million Euros. After the completion of the construction, our estimated annual revenue increase will be approximately 25 million Euros in addition to our current revenues.

In the statement, it was noted that after the capacity increase, the exterior cladding process will be moved to as the final stage, and with this step, it is aimed to provide full acoustics in the stadium's interior atmosphere.
