Abdullah Avcı makes assessments ahead of the final match: 'I want to be like Ahmet Suat Özyazıcı'

Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avcı made statements ahead of the Turkish Cup final they will play against Beşiktaş.

Stating that he wants to win all the trophies just like Ahmet Suat Özyazıcı, Avcı said, "Playing in a final is a wonderful thing. Out of 159 teams, 2 teams are in the final right now. Of course, we want to win. Trabzonspor has won this cup 9 times, Beşiktaş 10 times; we want to equalize it. I want to be remembered as a manager who won all the trophies with Trabzonspor, just like Ahmet Suat Özyazıcı.

We are facing Beşiktaş, one of the most valuable teams in this country. It will be a good contest. We have done our analysis. They have individually talented players. Our team concept seems a bit better. Playing in a final is very valuable. Speaking about the next season, Avcı said, "We have been planning for next season for 6 months. 50 percent of the transfers are finished as of now. When you win the cup, you can feel more daring. I hope we can use this." he said.

Finally, speaking about Beşiktaş captain Necip Uysal, Avcı said, "I had the opportunity to work with Necip for 7 months; he is a wonderful person. One of them is with us (Uğurcan). He came from our youth academy and is currently the team captain. As a country, we need to protect these players." he remarked.
