Beşiktaş’s number 10 Vincent Aboubakar has been unable to play in the 3 Süper Lig and 1 European match following the Galatasaray game due to injury.

Burak Yılmaz, who took over as technical director at Beşiktaş following Şenol Güneş’s resignation but recorded 3 defeats and 1 victory in 4 matches, made striking claims about Aboubakar after stepping down.

"HE WAS INSISTING ON BEING PAID HIS SALARY DUE IN 4 MONTHS"

Yılmaz stated regarding Aboubakar, "Upon investigating, I learned that our Cameroonian striker was insisting on being paid his salary due in 4 months. They told me that when the payment wasn't made, his pains continued. But no, I don't want to spread rumors by involving science. I leave the judgment to the Beşiktaş board members."

"I WILL GIVE MY ANSWER ON THE PITCH"

In a report featured in Hürriyet, the star striker responded with the following words: “Regardless of which club I am at, I am a footballer who gives his all for the money I earn. I have never left my teams alone during any period when I was not injured or suspended. When necessary, I have made sacrifices and taken to the pitch. The Beşiktaş Club doctors know how significant the illnesses and injuries I have experienced recently are. Our fans should rest assured; I will play in the Samsunspor match and I will give my answer on the pitch to those who accuse me unfairly.”

Vincent Aboubakar, one of the team captains of Beşiktaş, has contributed 11 goals and 3 assists in 18 matches this season.
