'Absolute Nullity' on the agenda in football: 'The championships of the last two years are invalid'

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu made statements that shook the football community during a press conference held in Riva. Hacıosmanoğlu stated that 371 referees have betting accounts and that 152 of them have been actively placing bets.

The statement caused a major stir in the football community. Allegations regarding the referees' betting connections received widespread coverage on social media.

BETTING ALLEGATION AGAINST FERHAT GÜNDOĞDU 

Following the data released during the day, a similar allegation surfaced in the evening regarding Central Referee Committee (MHK) President Ferhat Gündoğdu. It was claimed that Gündoğdu has a betting account.

While the allegations found wide resonance in the public eye, no statement has been made by Gündoğdu regarding the matter.

AHMET ÇAKAR: 'ABSOLUTE NULLITY WOULD BE IN QUESTION'

Speaking on the program Derin Futbol, sports commentator Ahmet Çakar made striking assessments regarding the allegations. Çakar said, 'I asked Ferhat Gündoğdu about these allegations, but he did not answer me. The lights at the TFF will not go out until morning tonight. If Ferhat Gündoğdu has a betting membership, the Ferhat Gündoğdu era falls under 'Absolute Nullity.' The championships of last season and the previous season would be invalid.'

In his remarks, Ahmet Çakar also referred to previous statements made by Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç. Çakar said, 'Three months ago, Ali Koç told Ferhat Gündoğdu, "Resign, or you will regret it later." Did Ali Koç know about this situation beforehand? The fact that Ferhat Gündoğdu has not responded to the allegations suggests a high probability that the claims are true.'
