Former referee and football commentator Ahmet Çakar announced that he has been acquitted in the lawsuit filed against him by TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi.
In a post on X, Çakar said the following:
"Yeeees. Location: Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse, time 10:10. I was acquitted in the first hearing of the court I appeared in for calling TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi a 'ByLock user and a liar.' Now I shout it again: 'Mehmet Büyükekşi, you are both a ByLock user and a major liar!'"
WHAT HAPPENED?
Speaking on a live broadcast on Beyaz TV last year, Ahmet Çakar had published a document he claimed was evidence that TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi was being tried for "Membership in an Armed Terrorist Organization" and for using ByLock.
Ahmet Çakar had used the following expressions:
"Mehmet Büyükekşi had said that ByLock was detected on only one of his two phones and that his private secretary was using it. You are a liar. ByLock was detected by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on both of your phones starting with 0530 and 0532. There is the blood of 250 people in Mehmet Büyükekşi's lie. I don't even call my wife 55 times in a month... Mehmet Büyükekşi's entry to Riva should be banned starting tomorrow morning."
Çakar also alleged that it was determined that Mehmet Büyükekşi used ByLock on two separate phones and that the application was accessed 55 times.
Büyükekşi, on the other hand, had stated, "I have two phones. One of them stays with my private secretary. ByLock was installed on that one. If there were a problematic situation, I would not have been able to continue serving in those institutions."
