Transfer statement from Ahmet Nur Çebi! 'I don't think we made a mistake'

Beşiktaş President Ahmet Nur Çebi made statements regarding the current agenda shortly before the election.

Çebi, who previously announced that he would not be a candidate in the election, evaluated the club's latest situation on Beyaz TV.

"I don't think we made a mistake in transfers. These kids have just come together. Their backgrounds are all known. When you examine the team, you will see that the team is not bad," he said.

Continuing his remarks, Çebi stated: "After I made the decision to hold an election, Aboubakar and other players sent messages asking me not to leave. I am pleased with them. I talk to all the players. I don't plan on joining the team on away match trips. Honestly, I have some grievances. I will continue to put my players on the bus one by one until my last day. I am fulfilling my duty."

Ahmet Nur Çebi said: "I know how important labor is. Our employees' families are waiting for bread. We need to ensure we have their blessing. Those who come after this will do the same. I will leave behind a Beşiktaş that is very well-structured financially. It wasn't like this when I took over. We found 13.5 million euros in 3 days, paid off 6 months of arrears, and received a clean bill from UEFA on time. Now, not only will there be no debt left behind, but those who come next will find their path clear for a few months. Aboubakar is injured, he has a medical report. There are risks to him playing until his treatment is finished. He came from Africa with a virus, and then he got injured while warming up."

Ahmet Nur Çebi continued: "Coach Şenol said a change of blood was needed. I never sent any coach away myself. For example, I didn't bring in Abdullah Avcı, but he said, 'I can't do it, my terms are written in the contract. I'll take 3-4 months of salary, I'll go to another club. I'm a big coach.' Lawsuits with Fikret Orman

Regarding the lawsuits brought up by Fikret Orman, Ahmet Nur Çebi said: "The number of lawsuits filed is 13. I am not the one filing them; the legal department manages the process. In the lawsuit filed against me, I went and paid the price. He won 5 of these cases due to the statute of limitations. He says, 'I won the case,' but he doesn't include the statute of limitations. You shouldn't create a perception as if you have been proven right. No one can be considered cleared until this trial is over. I fulfilled the community's request; my conscience is clear before the community. Fikret Orman should wait for the results first. It is not me, but Beşiktaş that is filing the lawsuits. Fikret Orman and I were like brothers. He used to call me 'big brother,' and I would call him 'president.' Everyone who was uncomfortable with me being here filled Fikret Orman's head. After that, we reached another point. In one speech, he says, 'ask his father.' The only thing my father said that I didn't do was when he told me not to enter the election with Fikret Orman. I didn't listen; I owe my father a big apology. They say I don't do anything without asking my father, that I say 'daddy'... These are below-the-belt remarks," he said.
