Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal has become the team with the longest winning streak in football history by winning their 28th consecutive match.

Al Hilal, managed by Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, faced Al Ittihad away in the second leg of the AFC Champions League quarter-finals, having won the first leg 2-0.
Winning the match at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium 2-0, Al Hilal advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament and was paired with Al Ain.
Securing their 28th consecutive victory across all competitions, the Saudi Arabian representative has become the new record holder in this category.
Previously, Welsh side The New Saints had reached 27 consecutive wins in the 2016-2017 season.
Jorge Jesus, who managed Fenerbahçe in the 2022-2023 season, took charge of Al Hilal last July.
