Alex De Souza is officially at Antalyaspor!

Antalyaspor, which is preparing to part ways with Sergen Yalçın at the end of the season, has announced that it has reached an agreement with Brazilian legend Alex de Souza for the new season.

Süper Lig side Antalyaspor has announced that it has signed a 2-year managerial contract with former Fenerbahçe star Alex de Souza.

Club Vice President and Press Spokesperson Alkan Evren stated in his announcement that they would be parting ways with Sergen Yalçın at the end of the season and that they had been in talks with several candidates for the managerial position. Evren noted that these negotiations concluded positively and that they had reached a 2-year agreement with Alex de Souza.

'ALEX WILL BE SUCCESSFUL'

Club executive Alkan Evren said that Alex is a well-loved and respected figure in Turkey and that they believe he will be a great fit for Antalyaspor. Evren expressed their belief that Alex will be successful, just as Nuri Şahin was.

In his statement, Evren included the following remarks:

"Our negotiations with Alex De Souza, who also played for Fenerbahçe for a period, have concluded positively. We have signed a 2-year contract with Alex. Mehmet Aurelio and two Brazilian technical staff members will serve as his assistants. Mehmet Arslan will take on the role of goalkeeper coach. We will hold a signing ceremony in Antalya after the league concludes. Alex is a name respected by all fans in Turkey for his character and stance. He is an exemplary family man. He is a name that will suit Antalyaspor very well with these qualities."

ASSISTANTS ALSO ANNOUNCED

Alex's assistants will be Mehmet Aurelio and two Brazilian technical staff members. The role of goalkeeper coach will be undertaken by Mehmet Arslan.
