Alex Marquez wins sprint race at MotoGP Malaysia leg
Gresini team's Spanish rider Alex Marquez won the sprint race at the Malaysian Grand Prix, the 18th leg of the MotoGP World Championship.

The sprint race, held ahead of the 18th challenge of the season, was contested over 10 laps at the 5.54-kilometer Sepang International Circuit in the state of Selangor.
Marquez emerged victorious in the sprint race with a time of 19:58.7130. Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac), who crossed the finish line 1.589 seconds after Marquez, took second place, while the riders' standings leader Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo) finished third, 3.034 seconds behind the leader.
