Ali Koç and Hasan Arat's Super Cup statement: 'We will file an application'

Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat and Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç met at Tüpraş Stadium. Following the meeting, the two presidents appeared before the cameras to hold a press conference.

Speaking after the meeting, Hasan Arat stated, "Our door is open to everyone. These are very large communities. The first visit came from Mr. Ali. We need to talk about our common problems; we need this," he said.

Ali Koç spoke as follows:

"I came here with 6 of my board members to pay a congratulatory visit to Mr. Hasan's board of directors. As Hasan Arat said, we discussed the problems of our football and where we need to join forces. We are clubs that are similar in many areas. We have very parallel principles, especially regarding national issues. Our main goal here is competition on the field and in the arenas, and constructive competition off the field. Our problems and troubles are always the same."

Ali Koç made the following statements regarding the unplayed 2011 Super Cup match:

"One of the most important issues we discussed is our Super Cup match remaining from 2011. The TFF should have called us without us having to apply for this, but we did not see enough movement from them. We will file an application for this. The calendar is very tight. The earliest time seems to be before the leagues start. However, this match needs to be planned and implemented as soon as possible."
