An arrest warrant has been issued for Toulouse president Damien Comolli as part of an ongoing 'fake agent' investigation in France.

According to a report by Le Parisien, Comolli, who has served as president of the French club Toulouse for 4 years, was arrested as part of the same investigation involving John Valovic-Galtier, the adopted son of Christophe Galtier, who managed PSG two seasons ago.

Last summer, Jordan Galtier, another son of former Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe, was appointed as an assistant coach to Carles Martínez Novell at Toulouse. It is alleged that Toulouse president Comolli included fake agent John Valovic-Galtier in the deal as part of the agreement.

TO BE TRIED THIS MONTH

Nine people are being held in custody as part of the ongoing investigation. Comolli's trial is expected to begin this month.

COMOLLI WORKED AT FENERBAHÇE FOR 1.5 YEARS

Comolli served as sporting director at Fenerbahçe for 1.5 years. After being elected in 2018, Ali Koç's first move was to bring in Comolli.

ALI KOÇ HAD SAID "COMOLLI IS THE SOLE BOSS OF FOOTBALL"

Ali Koç, who stated during the Ersun Yanal era that "the sole boss of football at Fenerbahçe is the sporting director, and since the sporting director is Damien Comolli, he is the sole boss," had used the following expressions:

"The sole boss of football at Fenerbahçe is the sporting director, and since the sporting director is Damien Comolli, he is the sole boss. The thing I was angry with him about from time to time was 'you are not interfering with the head coach.' There is no need for that because Ersun Hoca is there. He is the CEO of football at Fenerbahçe. There is no question of terminating Comolli's employment. As Sporting Director, Comolli is the boss in football."

Comolli became the president of Toulouse in July 2020.
