Following a string of poor results, Trabzonspor, which parted ways with Abdullah Avcı, continues its search for a new head coach.

The focus within the Burgundy-Blue community has shifted toward Şenol Güneş and Fatih Tekke.

Fatih Tekke, who currently manages Alanyaspor in the Süper Lig, stated in his remarks following the Fenerbahçe match: "I am from Trabzon, I am a Trabzonspor supporter. I don't know when a return to the home club might happen. It is a hot topic right now, we will see what happens next."

While negotiations are ongoing, Fatih Tekke's cousin, Kenan Tekke, made a striking statement on his social media account.

Tekke alleged that Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan called Fatih Tekke, that Fatih Tekke accepted the offer, but that Doğan later backed out of the agreement due to 'political pressures'.

Kenan Tekke, who said, "Shame on those who betray the children of this city," shared the following:

"!!!!SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Date: 31/08/2024 Ertuğrul Doğan calls Fatih Tekke and says, 'Coach, come, we need you.' Coach Fatih accepts the offer unconditionally, and they are set to meet in Istanbul on Monday to sit at the table.

Date: 01/09/2024 Ertuğrul Doğan calls Fatih Tekke and says, 'Coach, there is too much political pressure on me, and we will not be able to work with you,' and Şenol Güneş comes to the fore. That is the issue.

Shame on those who betray the children of this city. Shame on those who betray this city. Shame on those who sacrifice this club for their relationships. Shame on your POLITICS..."
