In the third round of the FA Cup, Manchester United faced Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. With the match ending 1-1 after regular time and extra time, Manchester United eliminated their opponent through a penalty shootout to secure their place in the next round. Manchester United took the lead with a goal from Bruno Fernandes in the 52nd minute, but were reduced to 10 men after Diogo Dalot received a red card in the 61st minute. Arsenal equalized with a goal from Gabriel in the 63rd minute.
