Amedspor promoted to the Süper Lig

Amedspor has earned the right to be the second team promoted to the Süper Lig after finishing the 1. Lig in second place.

In the 38th and final week of the 1. Lig, Amedspor faced Iğdır FK away from home. The match at Iğdır City Stadium ended in a 3-3 draw.

Iğdır FK took a 1-0 lead in the 6th minute with a goal from Moryke Fofana. Amedspor equalized at 1-1 in the 19th minute through Hasan Ali Kaldırım.

A FIERCE BATTLE FOR THE SÜPER LİG...

Amedspor took a 2-1 lead in the 45th minute with a penalty goal from Mbaye Diagne. Iğdır FK went into the break at 2-2 following an own goal by Diagne in the 45+3rd minute.

Amedspor found the net again in the 49th minute with a goal from Dia Saba to make it 3-2. Iğdır leveled the score at 3-3 in the 80th minute with a goal from Atakan Çankaya.

AMEDSPOR PROMOTED TO THE SÜPER LİG

Following this result and the fact that Esenler Erokspor, who were tied on points (74-74), drew with Pendikspor and dropped points, Amedspor finished the league in second place and was promoted to the Süper Lig.

Amedspor will compete in the Süper Lig for the first time in its history.

In the 1. Lig, Esenler Erokspor finished the season in third place. The Istanbul-based team will play directly in the play-off final.
