Ankara Keçiörengücü President Tahiroğlu: We want Barış Alper to be sold
Ankara Keçiörengücü club president Sedat Tahiroğlu answered questions during his visit to the TSYD Ankara Branch and made notable remarks regarding Galatasaray footballer Barış Alper Yılmaz.

Expressing that they are proud of the performances of national footballers Barış Alper Yılmaz and Samet Akaydın, Tahiroğlu said, "We watched them both most recently in the Romania match. It is a source of pride for us that players who grew up in the Keçiörengücü youth academy have reached this level. This is the moral dimension of this business."
Evaluating the possibility of a transfer for Barış Alper Yılmaz on TRT Spor, Tahiroğlu emphasized that the club has a 20 percent share in the player, stating, "If Barış Alper Yılmaz is sold, we will generate significant income. If a transfer happens in the 30-40 million euro range, we would have a share of approximately 8 million euros, but we have not received any feedback from Galatasaray in this direction; it seems they have no such intention."
Stating that some discussions were held through agents during the player's past transfer process, Tahiroğlu noted, "We would like Barış to be sold. Galatasaray probably has no such intention. When the possibility of a transfer to Saudi Arabia came up, agents presented us with figures, but we said, 'We will take whatever is our right.' For now, there is no situation that our club is pushing for. If it is meant to be, it will happen."
Tahiroğlu also conveyed that they have not spoken with Barış Alper Yılmaz recently, saying, "He used to stop by our club when he came to Ankara before, but we have not had any communication for the last year."

Evaluating their Süper Lig goals, Tahiroğlu concluded his remarks by saying, "The criticisms and claims that we do not want to promote to the Süper Lig are not true. Of course, our goal is the Süper Lig, but what is important is sustainable success. Promoting without a plan and taking on a debt burden could destroy the club. We took this team from the third league and progressed step by step. Our goal is the Süper Lig and to create a permanent structure."
