FIFA announced the new format of the Club World Cup in an announcement made last year. The tournament, which will be hosted by the USA between June 15 and July 13, 2025, will feature 32 teams from 6 different confederations.

There will be 8 groups of 4 teams in the tournament, and teams will play each other in a single match during the group stage.
