In a post on his social media account, Griezmann stated, "It is with a heart full of memories that I close this chapter of my life."
Griezmann made 137 appearances for the French national team and scored 44 goals. Having played for the French national team since 2014, Griezmann was part of the squad that won the World Cup in 2018. Griezmann, who has spent his entire professional career in La Liga, has played for Real Sociedad and Barcelona in addition to Atletico Madrid.
