Arbitration Board rejects Galatasaray's appeal

The following statement was issued by the Arbitration Board regarding the matter:

"Regarding Galatasaray's application dated 20.02.2025; the appeal against the TFF Board of Directors' decision dated 12.02.2025 and numbered 31, which authorized the Central Referee Committee to appoint a foreign referee for the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe match to be played in the 25th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig Şamil Ekinci Season, has been reviewed. As a result of the deliberations;

- In the examination of the TFF Board of Directors' decision regarding its compliance with the law; it was unanimously decided to reject the appeal as no aspects contrary to procedure, substance, or instructions were found,

- Regarding the request to cancel the Central Referee Committee's action to appoint a foreign referee for the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe match to be played in the 25th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig Şamil Ekinci Season; it was decided by majority vote to reject the appeal on procedural grounds, as it was understood that the Arbitration Board's jurisdiction is determined by Article 2 of the TFF Arbitration Board Instruction titled 'Jurisdiction of the Board', and that the decisions subject to appeal are limited in number by the instruction, and the decision in question does not fall within the Board's jurisdiction."
