Jean Onana, whose contract is held by Beşiktaş and who is on loan to Marseille, was the victim of an armed attack in France. According to a report by Europe 1 from France, Jean Onana and his teammate Faris Moumbagna were victims of an attempted robbery.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on the night between Sunday and Monday. Armed thieves attempted to steal the vehicle that Jean Onana and Moumbagna were in.
It was stated that the thieves opened fire with a weapon during the failed attempt. Many bullet holes were found on the vehicle following the incident.
It was reported that Jean Onana and Faris Moumbagna escaped the unfortunate incident without injury. The thieves reportedly fled the scene.
Beşiktaş Club also shared a post regarding the matter. The statement read, "Get Well Soon Jean Onana. We have learned with great sadness that Jean Onana, who was temporarily transferred to the French club Marseille during the mid-season transfer window, was subjected to an armed attack following an attempted robbery."
