Armed attack on Josef de Souza: They even stole the slippers off my feet

Brazilian footballer Josef de Souza, who has played for major teams in the Süper Lig such as Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Başakşehir, was the target of an armed attack in his home country. In a statement following the incident, Souza described the terrifying moments he experienced, saying, "They even took the slippers off my feet."

The 35-year-old footballer, who is continuing his career in Brazil, was unexpectedly subjected to an armed robbery. Souza, who was attacked by thieves while traveling in his car with his son, announced that his personal belongings were stolen. Fortunately, it was reported that both he and his son are in good health.

Sharing a video message after the incident, Souza said, "Armed men took my car. I was with my son and I managed to get him out. We are fine now." Reports also indicate that the Brazilian police are expected to launch an investigation into the incident.

The Brazilian player, who transferred to China's Beijing Guoan team in 2023, joined Başakşehir in January 2024 and returned to the Brazilian club Vasco da Gama in July 2024.
