Aston Villa's decision on Nicolo Zaniolo! Will they buy him from Galatasaray?

It has been claimed that the permanent transfer of Nicolo Zaniolo, whom Galatasaray loaned to Aston Villa at the start of the season, to the English team has become unlikely.

ASTON VILLA HAS MADE ITS DECISION

According to the report relayed by NTV Spor from Football Insider, Aston Villa does not intend to purchase the contract of Zaniolo, whom they loaned from the yellow-reds this summer.

It was stated that officials from the English club are concerned about the star footballer's past injuries and therefore believe that the Italian player will not be able to provide a long-term contribution to the team.

The report recalled that Zaniolo arrived at Aston Villa with a groin injury and emphasized that he has missed a total of 105 matches since the 2020-21 season, mostly during his time at Roma.

It was noted that the 24-year-old player, who played regularly in the starting eleven in the Premier League and the UEFA Europa Conference League at the beginning of the season, later fell out of favor. 

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery last gave Zaniolo a chance in the starting eleven in the match played against Bournemouth on December 3.

A FAVORITE OF ITALIAN TEAMS

On the other hand, according to a report by Calciomercato, Nicolo Zaniolo continues to be a favorite for Italian teams in the transfer market.

It was stated that Zaniolo will return to Galatasaray at the end of the season but is not expected to remain in Turkey.

The report claimed that many Serie A clubs want the Italian footballer, with Juventus and Milan being the teams showing the most interest in the player.

While it was noted that Galatasaray wants to earn at least 20-25 million Euros from Zaniolo's transfer, it was also recorded that considering his contract expires in 2027, another loan deal cannot be ruled out.
