Aziz Yıldırım and Hakan Safi are competing for the presidential seat at the yellow-navy club's extraordinary general assembly. The election excitement began as congress members gathered at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium starting in the morning hours.
In the first stage of the general assembly held the previous day, the activity and audit board reports for two terms were read and voted upon. In the vote, it was decided that both the administrative and financial actions of the Ali Koç and Sadettin Saran administrations were approved. Afterward, presidential candidates Aziz Yıldırım and Hakan Safi addressed the congress members and explained their projects.
According to the latest information provided by the club, 44,741 registered members have the right to vote. The voting process began at 10:00 AM and will continue until 5:00 PM. The winner will begin their term as the new president of the yellow-navy club.
