Aziz Yıldırım's response to Dursun Özbek! 'Stupidity, dishonor...'

Former Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım has responded to the statements made by Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek.

Here are Aziz Yıldırım's statements;

"I have carefully watched the statements made today by Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek. Along with asking him to search for "FETÖ club" on Google to see which club appears, I also advise him to search for the terms "yellow-navy wall," "what match-fixing, the country is slipping away," and "they were going to stage a civilian coup with 50,000 people," and to examine the results that appear. I also advise this President to read the Match-Fixing Conspiracy indictments, the FETÖ Main Case, the Selam Tevhid and Ergenekon conspiracy indictments, the opinions of the Supreme Court of Appeals Prosecutor's Office, and the July 15 booklet published on the Presidency's website, and to share with the public what he understands from them.

'THE SPIRIT OF JULY 3 IS NOT DEAD'

The spirit of July 3 is not dead. It is standing tall and alive. Just as this spirit shattered the words "this fire will not be extinguished by blowing" uttered by Ünal Aysal, it shatters and will continue to shatter similar words from Dursun Özbek today. The Fenerbahçe community is a community that declared war on FETÖ and won, while Dursun Özbek and his likes were afraid, cowering, and going along with them. It is known who carried water to FETÖ's mill back then. Among them are former Galatasaray presidents and members. These individuals, who were nowhere to be found in the fight against FETÖ, are in my eyes FETÖ sympathizers. My fight with them is not over. History will witness that they, too, will eventually appear before the judiciary and be held accountable.

'IT IS NOT ANYONE'S PLACE'

FETÖ's goal is to pit large masses against each other, cause conflict, and destroy the survival of the state. The reckless statements Dursun Özbek has made unconsciously serve exactly this purpose. Using FETÖ sympathy to gain an advantage in sports competition is baseness, it is dishonor. Whoever is engaging in FETÖ sympathy today is base and dishonorable. The 117-year-old Fenerbahçe Sports Club has always been at the service of its nation and by the side of the state. It is not anyone's place or something anyone would dare to do to use the 117-year-old Fenerbahçe Sports Club as material for sports competition with immature statements.

'IT IS FETÖ SYMPATHY'

Google, which is Dursun Özbek's source of intellectual nourishment, is full of the shared memories of the so-called leader of FETÖ and the Galatasaray Club and its members. For a club president who cannot even publish the poster of a UEFA championship as a whole to label Fenerbahçe Sports Club with FETÖ is pure stupidity. Serving the Match-Fixing Conspiracy, which has been proven by judicial decisions to have been set up against Fenerbahçe by FETÖ, as if it were a fact is pure FETÖ sympathy.

'HE IS NO BIGGER THAN A DEUCE OF CLUBS'

My fight against this dark structure did not end after my presidency concluded. It is still ongoing. Where do Dursun Özbek and his likes stand in this struggle we are waging on behalf of Turkish football? Our silence should not lead him into error. Neither the blood in our veins nor our anger has changed. Dursun Özbek should know that the fate of those who stand against us in this struggle we are waging will not change. We have the power to silence those who speak ill of this struggle and those who use our struggle as a snack for their own small personal interests, and to make the world a narrow place for them. Dursun Özbek, who has positioned himself in a place different from reality in our absence, should know that in our eyes, he is no bigger than a deuce of clubs, and we will have much more to say to him.
