Aziz Yıldırım: The era of the greatest Fenerbahçe is on the horizon again

Ahead of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club's extraordinary elective general assembly to be held on June 6-7, presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım met with congress members as part of his visits to Ankara.

Speaking at the program, Aziz Yıldırım said, "We are very happy to be together with you in our capital, who feel the greatness of Fenerbahçe in your souls. We are members of Turkey's largest non-governmental organization, its largest family. The time has come for this great community to stand up again, to unite, and to march toward the days we long for. Today, our community needs a will, a strong management, and leadership more than anything else."

Stating that the Fenerbahçe community has been going through difficult times, Yıldırım said, "We shed tears together. We saw betrayal, and we fought against perceptions. Operations were carried out. Plots were set up. We lost championships in the last minute, in the last match. We always looked for the enemy elsewhere, and for hope and victory as well. We are all sad. Most of us are anxious about the future. How will it happen? How will we get out of this hole we have fallen into? These bad feelings are burning in hell, and we are looking for heaven. Heaven is within us; we are the hope. Courage and daring are our surnames. Because we are Fenerbahçe. We will get out of these days all together. We will close this era and open a new one, the Fenerbahçe era. We will achieve this together, all of us. We will do it as 'us'. Of course, what we are describing is not easy at all. We seem to be divided into 40 pieces. Groups, cliques, social media vultures; unfortunately, the general picture is clear. The yellow-navy love overcomes everything. We will be shoulder to shoulder. We will stand side by side. We will rise from our own ashes and carry our Phoenix, our Canary, to victory. Our word is our bond. The era of the greatest Fenerbahçe is on the horizon again," he stated.

Mentioning his goals, Yıldırım said, "Creating a stable success model in Europe will be one of our biggest goals. Completing our club's digital transformation, being a pioneer again in infrastructure and facilities, and building our 64,000-capacity stadium. Following all of this, we believe with all our hearts and souls that we will carry the world brand Fenerbahçe back to where it belongs. May the end of the road be a championship. This love never ends in our hearts. I just want to add one more sentence here. There are also 7 friends from Ankara on this board of directors list," he said.
