Aziz Yıldırım: There must be a management that will leave its mark on the next 20 years

Yıldırım, who attended the event held at a hotel in Istanbul, was accompanied by Barış Göktürk, who withdrew his own presidential candidacy to support him.
Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım, who received a gift from Bifeder President Orhan Ebcin, gave a short speech.
Emphasizing that it is time to put a stop to certain things at Fenerbahçe, Yıldırım said:
"This is not a job I can do and succeed at alone. After the results brought about by the last 12 years, we all need to be together. We need unity and solidarity. Aziz Yıldırım is a candidate, but we must form a management that is both young and hardworking. The management I formed in 1998 produced council board presidents and federation presidents. There must be such a management again, and it must leave its mark on the next 20 years. The other candidate may also win, but let us not break our unity. Let us be united in the stands, at the congress, and everywhere else so that this strength makes us champions and successful."
Göktürk: "President Aziz heeded the call made by me and my friends"
Speaking at the event, Barış Göktürk stated that presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım is the person who will lead the yellow-navy club out of its current difficulties.
Underlining that Fenerbahçe is going through a period of stagnation, Göktürk said, "Fenerbahçe has not been champion for 12 years and there are serious financial problems. Fenerbahçe needs a real captain. Our community can only emerge from these financial difficulties and sporting failures through the extraordinary efforts of Aziz Yıldırım. We support him. Hopefully, Fenerbahçe will win the championships it deserves once again. He brought 6 Süper Lig championships. He brought 1 EuroLeague championship in basketball and European championships in volleyball. President Aziz heeded the call made by me and my friends, and we thank him. Fenerbahçe's 120th anniversary can only be worthy of our legendary president."
