Aziz Yıldırım: We will remind everyone of the greatness of the Fenerbahçe name once again

Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım, who is continuing his campaign ahead of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club's Extraordinary Elective General Assembly Meeting to be held on June 6-7, met with congress members as part of the 'Great Istanbul Gathering'.

At the event held at the Faruk Ilgaz Facilities, singer Kıraç took the stage first. Later, the board of directors was introduced, and finally, Aziz Yıldırım was called to the stage. Yıldırım, who received intense support from congress members and fans, delivered a speech there.

Starting his speech by stating that they have lit a torch for Fenerbahçe to return to its longed-for days, Aziz Yıldırım said, "We are going to the congress to experience and keep alive those longed-for days. Sunday will not be an ordinary congress; this is a will to get Fenerbahçe back on its feet and win the championships that are our right. Let us believe in each other and carry our Fenerbahçe to the place it deserves together. If the championship struggle has started today, our greatest strength is our unity and solidarity.

If we do not divide within ourselves, if we become one heart; there is no power, no structure that can stand against us! If we are aware of our own power, we will wash away all obstacles like a flood. Being aware of Fenerbahçe's values; keeping those values alive is our honor, our pride.

We will protect our club's century-old stance and the spirit of the Kuvayi-Milliye to the end. Let those who have experienced what has happened in recent years, the games played on us, and those who try to wear us down know that; those who think we have fallen are in a great delusion. Just like a phoenix, we will be reborn from our ashes! We will remind both friend and foe of the weight of that glorious striped jersey and the greatness of the Fenerbahçe name once again. The heart of this great awakening will be our stadium. We need that great support, which makes the opponent feel cramped on the pitch and inspires its team, more than ever. We will re-establish that unbreakable bond between the stands and the players, that hellish atmosphere," he said.

"The return of the Samandıra spirit is a necessity"

Drawing attention to the Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities, where the A football team trains, Yıldırım said, "The return of the Samandıra spirit, the sense of belonging to the jersey, and the feeling of invincibility is also a necessity. Samandıra will be strong again; everyone in Samandıra will act with the awareness of where they are. While doing all this, we are setting out not only with our emotions but by putting 'football intelligence' at the center. We are building a football management team that is experienced, aware of the community's values, completely focused on the goal, with the most accurate names and the most rational planning. We are not coming to save the day, but to dominate the years, for absolute championships! There is no second or third place in our dictionary; where Fenerbahçe is, the only claim is the championship. One of the most important steps of this great march is to expand our temple. We want to experience the end-of-season championship and great victories together with 64 thousand Fenerbahçe fans. The stadium project will be one of the strongest signatures placed on the future of Fenerbahçe," he stated.

"No name is bigger than Fenerbahçe"

Emphasizing that they will make every sacrifice for Fenerbahçe, Yıldırım said, "We will bring the best players needed, but we will not make this election material. Do not forget that players must sign with the club in the end, not with presidential candidates! Individuals come and go, what remains is Fenerbahçe. No name is bigger than Fenerbahçe. Our goal is clear; we will take every player who wants to play for Fenerbahçe and whom we need. Just as we did before, we will put that jersey on the player and send them onto the pitch. Our power is more than enough for this. We also know that we need to think about revenues while spending. We have many ideas and studies regarding this. We have prepared many projects that will generate income. We have set a revenue target of 1 billion dollars for our club; we have already started working on this," he said.

Aziz Yıldırım also made a call to the members who will vote at the congress and said the following:

Let us rebuild this friendship, which no other club has, together. Let us relive the great victories and the championships we celebrated shoulder to shoulder. To many more championships together."
