Beşiktaş has released a statement regarding the health status of Vincent Aboubakar.

It was stated that the treatment process for Aboubakar, who returned from the Cameroon national team, continues following an injury to his posterior thigh muscle. The statement included the following remarks:

"Following the injury to his posterior thigh muscle (biceps femoris) sustained during a training session on January 12, 2024, while preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations with the Cameroon national team, our player Vincent Aboubakar began treatment under the national team's medical staff. Upon his return to our country, examinations conducted by our medical team determined that the injury was more severe than reported by the Cameroon national team (Biceps femoris grade 2 B strain), and it was decided that our player's treatment process would continue under our medical team."

It was noted that although Aboubakar participated in Beşiktaş's last match for approximately 13 minutes, the medical team's assessment led to the decision to continue his treatment process.

On the other hand, the same statement also mentioned that Salih Uçan was injured during the Sivasspor match and that his treatment process has begun.

Aboubakar has contributed 11 goals and 3 assists in 22 official matches for Beşiktaş this season.
