Zenit President Alexander Medvedev spoke about the Brazilian footballer Wendel, who is on Galatasaray's transfer list.
Responding to claims that they had reached an agreement with Galatasaray for Wendel, Medvedev said, "The claims that Wendel has reached an agreement with Galatasaray are not true. Wendel is a Zenit player."
It had been suggested that Galatasaray had made a 20 million Euro offer to Zenit for Wendel and that the transfer would be completed shortly.
ZENIT PERFORMANCE
Wendel transferred to Zenit from Sporting Lisbon in 2020 for 20 million Euros. The Brazilian star has played in 124 matches for Zenit, recording 20 goals and 25 assists.
