Başakşehir defeated in first leg of play-off
Başakşehir FK lost 2-1 at home to Romanian side Universitatea Craiova in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League Play-Off round.

The match, which kicked off at 20:45 at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, was officiated by Juxhin Xhaja of the Albanian Football Federation. Xhaja was assisted by Arber Zalla and Rejdi Avdo.
As Başakşehir FK faced Romanian representative Universitatea Craiova in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League Play-Off round, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak also followed the match from the stands. While there was significant interest in the match in Istanbul, Minister Bak watched the game from the protocol tribune to support the Turkish representative.
Başakşehir FK's 29-year-old Brazilian defender Leo Duarte, who started the match in the first 11, was injured in the 43rd minute following a challenge with Baiaram on the right side of the penalty area. Medical teams intervened for Duarte, who remained on the ground for a while. The center-back, who was taken off the pitch on a stretcher, was replaced by Opoku in the 45th minute.
