Constantly in the spotlight for its transfers and the transfer fees it pays, Bayern Munich has now made headlines with an executive 'transfer'.
According to a report in Bild, Bayern Munich has added RB Leipzig's managing director Max Eberl to its management team by paying 3.5 million Euros in cash. The 50-year-old German football figure Max Eberl will replace Hasan Salihamidzic as Bayern Munich's new executive.
Bayern Munich has also promised to pay RB Leipzig an additional 1 million Euros in bonuses based on various achievements.
HÖENESS DESIGNED THE NEW MANAGEMENT
Honorary President Uli Höeness had dismissed Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic due to their failures. First, Christoph Freund was appointed as the new sporting director. While Freund took office to replace Kahn, Eberl will fill the void left by Salihamidzic.
In the new structure, the management of the Bayern Munich football team will consist of President Herbert Hainer, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, Max Eberl, and Christian Freund.
Uli Höeness has thus restructured the entire management scheme exactly as he wanted.
