WHAT DID ORKUN KÖKÇÜ SAY?
Speaking to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the national footballer stated that he was unhappy with his role in the team.
In his statement, Orkun Kökçü said, "This is not what I expected. A lot happened during the last summer transfer window. I thought this was the best step I could take to develop in every area of my career. But that has only partially happened."
Regarding Roger Schmidt, the 23-year-old player said, "Schmidt ties me to too many defensive tasks. If you really want to get the most out of me, that is not necessary. I can do much more for Benfica. I am disappointed."
