In the first week of the UEFA Europa League, Beşiktaş faced Dutch side Ajax away from home.
In the match played at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Beşiktaş was defeated 4-0 by Ajax.
The goals that brought victory to the Amsterdam side were scored by Kian Fitz-Jim in the 31st minute, Mika Marcel Godts in the 51st and 73rd minutes, and Kenneth Taylor in the 55th minute.
With this result, Beşiktaş lost for the first time in their official matches this season.
Beşiktaş will face German side Eintracht Frankfurt at home in their 2nd Europa League match on Thursday, October 3. Ajax, meanwhile, will be the guest of Slavia Prague away from home.
