Beşiktaş Emlakjet lost in Europe!

Beşiktaş Emlakjet was defeated 83-80 by England's London Lions in the 7th week of the BKT EuroCup Group A.

The black-and-white team, which did not start well in the match held at the BJK Emlakjet Sports Complex in Akatlar, finished the first quarter trailing 29-15. Recovering slightly in the second period, Beşiktaş managed to tie the game a few times but could not take the lead and went into halftime trailing 46-42.

While the second half of the contest started in a balanced manner, the visiting team performed better in the second half of the quarter. London Lions, which occasionally extended the lead to double digits, finished the third quarter ahead 68-59. Although the English team extended the lead to double digits in the final quarter, the black-and-white team, which made an effort to come back, reduced the deficit to 2 points (80-82) with 7.5 seconds remaining. Unable to take the lead in the short time remaining, Beşiktaş Emlakjet left the court with an 83-80 defeat.

For Beşiktaş, 19 points each from Jonah Mathews and Matthew Mitchell were not enough to prevent the defeat. In the home team, Angel Delgado recorded 18 points and 14 rebounds, Leyton Hammonds and Derek Needham scored eight points each, Yiğit Arslan and Egehan Arna scored three points each, and Kerem Konan produced 2 points.

For London Lions, Gabriel Olaseni, who previously played in Turkey, scored 24 points, while Matthew Morgan contributed 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead their team to victory.
